It feels like winter is officially here. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be brewing up lots of hot drinks to stay warm and help us finish up the festive issue, our last issue of 2023! It's filled to the brim with festive recipes and winter wonder. But while we're cooking up warmth and creativity, we didn't want you to miss out on the buzz in our local community.

Every Thursday afternoon The Feel Good Women’s Group are joined by a new visitor who holds an information session about an important topic. Last week they were joined by SNP Allison Thewliss.
Glasgow Writer, Rodge Glass shares 'A Little Light' story about Hanukka
In this story, Lucia and Cora have fun learning more about Chanukah (Hanukkah) from their Dad and learn the lesson of making do with less than you think you will need.

The Well is starting a new social group just for men. This is a space for men to meet up, make friends, practice English, play games. Happening every Tuesday from 3:30-5pm at 53 Niddrie Road.

Govanhill Voices are hosting a Singaround on Sunday, 19th, 2pm @ Bee's Knees Cafe. This is a laid back gathering where we just take turns to sing a song, any genre, musical instruments optional. There's no pressure to perform. You are welcome to just come and join the fun. Read more about the choir here.
🎶Fundraiser for Thales3 who are three activists took action against Thales in July last year. The trio staged a rooftop occupation of Thales Govan and caused £1.5 million in damages, rendering the site inoperable. Read more about it here. 🎶 The event is happening at McNeill’s on Sunday from 6pm with music and poetry.
⚒️ Changing Rooms Work Party this Saturday. Glasgow City Council approved a 25-year lease for South Seeds - a local community group that enables people to live more sustainable lives ⚒️ South Seeds holds regular events for volunteers to help repair the space, including this Saturday 10-12.
🧣The Swap Club Glasgow is holding a collection for charity @Refuweegee🧣 at their event on Sunday - 9-3pm at McNeill’s. If you have any of the following items that you could donate to the charity, please bring them to the next event in a separate bag to your swap goodies and The Swap Club will pass them on for you.
✍️Event Celebrating the Life and Legacies of Southside activist, John Maclean. On 17th November the University of Glasgow will mark the centenary of the passing of one of its most influential graduates, the socialist revolutionary activist, John Maclean (MA, 1904). The event is happening at the University of Glasgow at 5pm on Friday.
